Baron Von Movingvans

What’s in a nickname? Well, if you don’t do your research, it can be more than you think.

I got to thinking a little bit more about the potential of the OKC NBA team becoming the Barons.

What the hell is a Baron? Well, I did a little research (very little).

Definition of “Baron” from Dictionary.com and American Heritage Dictionary:

A partial definition from Dictionary.com:

bar·on –noun
1. a member of the lowest grade of nobility.
4. a cut of mutton or lamb comprising the two loins, or saddle, and the hind legs.

A partial definition from American Heritage Dictionary:

bar·on –noun
1. a. A British nobleman of the lowest rank.
b. A Japanese nobleman of the lowest rank.
3. One having great wealth, power, and influence in a specified sphere of activity: an oil baron.
4. A cut of beef consisting of a double sirloin.

Ladies and gentlemen, your Oklahoma City Double Sirloins!

Lets’ review. We’ve got…:
1) The lowest form of nobility
2) A dude with a lot of cash because he’s good at one specific thing
- or -
3) A double hind piece of a four-legged animal which is bred in captivity for the purposes of being eaten.

This is genius in its truest form.
