A disappointing story out came out of Oregon today where passerbys helped themselves to a little Nike shoe loot from an overturned semi. Making it worse, the accident included a fatality.
While this is disturbing for obvious reasons not worth harping on, it’s not surprising that drivers were able to slow down enough to grab some boxes. The speed limit on Oregon freeways is like 40 (actually 55). If you’re going from Washington to California, driving through Oregon is like driving through a sandbox.
Thank goodness the truck didn’t have US Weeklys in it. Or sheep from Oregon State.
